Find the right distance.










Ukemi: perform a large suriashi forward, attack with tobikomizuki jodan. Try to put as much weight into the fist as possible.
Torimi: left hand in front of your chest, put tension into seikatanden as to enable a proper block with shuto harai uke jodan. The block shouldn't be concentrated sideways but rather re-direct the attack backwards.




Ukemi: attack with gyakuzuki no tsukomi jodan. Take care to put your weight into the attack.
Torimi: re-direct the attack backwards with a right haito harai uke jodan.







Torimi: press both hands in shuto morote against the right hand of ukemi. Lower your centre of gravity.









Torimi: Move your centre of gravity backwards slightly, use your right to keep ukemi's right hand under control and prepare for a left haito to the groin.








Torimi: maintain you control over ukemi's right hand and attack with left haito to the groin. Use your full weight by moving your centre of gravity forward slightly.








Torimi: let go of the ukemi's right hand and seize ukemi's left upper arm with your right hand.









Torimi: grab ukemi's left wrist with your left hand.










Torimi: turn around ukemi's left arm.










Torimi: turn further as to throw ukemi.










Torimi: keep ukemi under control by maintaining pressure on the left arm.









Torimi: 'throw' the left arm away and step back in right hanmi.
Ukemi: keep observing torimi.








Ukemi: roll over your body and prepare to stand up.
Torimi: take a step backwards in left hanmi.
